FROME EVENT | An Atypical Girl: Penny Kiley in Conversation

£6.00

Ticket Type

Wednesday 5th August, 7.30pm at The Archangel (Naval Room), Frome

In association with our friends Raves from the Graves

Penny Kiley was Liverpool Corespondent for Melody Maker Magazine during the post-punk years of the late-1970s and 1980s. She also wrote for Smash Hits and was pop columnist for the Liverpool Echo. She was diagnosed Austistic at the age of 60.

Her book, Atypical Girl, begins as a coming-of-age story and ends as a midlife reinvention. What threads through her life though is the search for identity and a celebration for the central role music plays in all our lives.

Penny will be in conversation with record-store advocate and author Graham Jones and the evening will include a bonus music quiz with prizes!

Books will be available to buy on the night and Penny will be signing at the end of the evening.

Book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are strictly limited!
